Welcome to HTX Game Night! A fast paced night of comedy with games galore, where your suggestions help build the show! Much like Who's Line is it Anyway or Wildn' Out, our performers will have to generate scenes, stories, and characters on the fly.
A night of scenes, characters, and stories all completely made up on the spot! Each week, 3 teams take the stage to showcase their improv skills. Your suggestions will be used as inspiration to create these unique and one-of-a-kind shows. Come early and stay late for a cocktail at the bar. Come witness the best improv in Houston.
The Canal St Creepshow is a 90 minute improvised horror-comedy. Every Friday night in October, a truly terrifying urban legend will unfold before your very eyes! On a dark and stormy night at an unsuspecting cabin in the woods, five teens fight for survival as a serial killer relentlessly hunts them. Filled with screams, blood, horror, and (don’t worry), a little laughter…this show aims to create a unique narrative experience that is different each time you see it. So it is our macabre pleasure to make sure you’ll never see the show again, except for in your nightmares!
Improv for the people Join us for the very first Coalition of Coronation performers. Fridays in November with feature 4 original house teams. They shall come together for the month only and then scatter to the winds with only their laughs lingering. A show for students and veterans of the community to come showcase their skills and create something new each week. As always, your suggestions help create the comedy for the night. All of the character, scenes, and stories are inspire by you the audience. May the improv be ever in your favor.
The Queer Comedy Show is a night of improvised comedic joy that highlights the talented performers of the cast; all of whom are part of the LGBTQIA+ community and all its queer splendor! Join our performers as they bring the goofs and gaffs that are for those who ever felt different or "other" in their lives and find community in their stories through comedy! The community finds each other in any performance art across the board, we're here to stake a claim and make our presence in the improv scene of Houston, Texas known! Watch as the cast does long form improv, musical numbers, and short-form games which will all be informed by audience suggestions. So get the word out now, we're here...we're queer...and we hope that you can join in on the fun!"
"I’ll Let Anyone Break My Heart” is a show that combines improvised storytelling by comedienne Kelsey Caine with improv comedy. The core of the show will always be making light of romantic devastation, however, heartbreak has many forms to be explored: friendship fallouts, career letdowns, family strife, that bitch death, etc. The goal of this show is to leave the audience a little less heartbroken than when they came in, or at the very least knowing they are very much not alone.
In this 90-minute class, you'll learn the basic tenets of improv, get out of your comfort zone, and meet new people. No previous performance experience necessary. This is a safe and low-stakes environment where you get to show up and have fun!
