RECkless Comedy @ Rec Room Arts

The Coronation Theater is moving! SO we're setting up shop with our friends at Rec Room arts for the months of February and March. Each Saturday will feature the mainstage ensemble of HTX Game Night. Come yell out your suggestions for this high energy, fast paced improv improv show. Closing out the night will be some of Houston's HOTTEST indie teams. Introduction to Improv

A class for everyone. Whether you want to give comedy a try, work on communication skills, or just make some new friends. You'll learn how to develop characters, tell stories, tap into your creative self, and gain the skills to be more confident.

Level 2

Two Person Scenes

The foundation of any good improv scene starts with two people on stage. You'll learn how to build strong, meaningful, and interesting relationships with your scene partner.

Level 3

Short Form Games

Our third level builds on what you learned in level two with the introduction of “short form” games, much like you’ve seen on Whose Line Is It Anyway? or Wildin’ Out.

Level 4

Show Structure

Welcome to Level 4 Improv, where we dive deep into the art of creating spontaneous scenes and sets! In this course, we'll push boundaries and explore advanced techniques to elevate your improvisational game. Editing scenes, tag outs, split screens, and more.

Improv Forms

In your final level, you dive into the rich world of various improv forms. This level is designed to expand your improvisational toolkit by introducing you to different styles and formats, helping you discover what resonates with your unique comedic voice.
